The Cast:

 

DRAGULA (PETER)

 

The flamboyant drag queen performer who is the singing and dancing star of The "G" Spot. Surrounded by an aura of sensuality and charisma, DRAGULA also radiates a strange unexplainable power. Regardless of the blazing red outfit in which she is dressed, DRAGULA always wears an orchid corsage. Out of costume, DRAGULA becomes a sensitive, unassuming performer named PETER who is continuing to struggle with issues that have haunted him since childhood.

 

RENARDE

 

The singing emcee and choreographer for the nightclub, The "G" Spot. RENARDE speaks with a French accent, and in both dress and personality, is in a word: outrageous.

 

REVEREND BOBBY SWAGGER (ROBERTA FLACCID)

 

Our villain, The Right Reverend BOBBY SWAGGER is consumed by the persona of a self-important Holy Roller revivalist in both manner and behavior. Reverend Swagger speaks in a deep bass mid-western twang, and is determined to put an end to Dragula. At the climax of our show after his encounter with the horrific BIG DADDY, Reverend Swagger becomes the drag queen gospel singing sensation, ROBERTA FLACCID.

 

MISS TAMMY TWINGLE

 

The blond and very well put-together Tammy Twingle, who speaks with a Marilyn Monroe breathless quality, is a devoted and enamored employee of Reverend Swagger. Miss Twingle has trouble grasping the meaning of specific situations and references, but discovers she has the talent to impersonate the figure, movement, and the vocal quality of Dragula so perfectly you cannot tell one from the other.

 

INFIELD

 

The huge muscular bouncer of The "G" Spot. A lover of baseball, the sincere but not overly bright INFIELD habitually tosses a baseball up and down, and walks with a "shuffle" because of an old baseball injury he sustained when he was hit in the groin by a fly ball.

 

SHARMA SHARMA

 

The proprietor of a New Age Health Facility, SHARMA SHARMA, a wiry little man of Indian descent who always speaks with an accent, is a humorous opportunist who will do anything to advance his personal and financial position. He loves affection, though he can be heard to protest: "Please, don't squeeze the Sharma."

 

RACHAEL

 

Peter's conservative older sister who wrestles with feeling estranged from her brother and struggles to understand Peter's self-isolation and aura of secrecy. Her words and actions are demonstrations of her sincerity to establish a deeper more meaningful relationship with her elusive brother.

 

TAILGATE the Gypsy

 

TAILGATE is a masculine lesbian gypsy fortune teller who runs her own fortune telling parlor that also sells sexually beneficial herbal mixtures and a wide selection of erotic paraphernalia. She informs those who meet her it's not Ms. Tailgate; just Tailgate, for anyone who wants to party.

 

THE THREE BITCHES

 

THE THREE BITCHES are transvestite herbalists who are employees of TAILGATE the Gypsy, and, in a cauldron at the parlor, formulate and prepare sexually beneficial herbal mixtures that are sold mostly to their best customer, SHARMA SHARMA. The three NEVER agree on anything and are continually bitching. However, as they will tell you, they may be bitches, but they're very good herbalists.

 

JOHN THOMAS (DOWINA JONES)

 

A button-down wall street broker who is "bitten" by the seduction of DRAGULA, and becomes The "G" Spot drag queen rock singing and dancing sensation, DOWINA JONES.

 

JOSE CANUSE (CARMEN ENSALADA)

 

A Hispanic mayoral candidate who is "bitten" by the seduction of Dragula, and becomes The "G" Spot drag queen Latino singing and dancing sensation, CARMEN ENSALADA.

 

DICK LACY (CURTINA UPP)

 

A mounted police officer with Broadway musical theater aspirations who, when "bitten" by the seduction of Dragula, becomes The "G" Spot's torch singing star, drag queen performer CURTINA UPP."

 

DOLORES MADISON

 

The elegant owner of The "G" Spot, DOLORES is clearly a woman who has attempted to stave off aging with one too many plastic surgeries, and is facially stretched to the limit. She speaks with a dark husky quality from too many cigarettes inhaled too many nights in too many smoked-filled clubs.

 

HARRY (HARRIET)

 

A muscular physically fit transvestite performer at The "G" Spot who is Peter's partner, and whose female persona is Harriet.

 

YOUNG PETER

 

A child suffering from internal turmoil because of loss, desires, and actions.

 

PETER'S MOTHER

 

A ghostly persona who emerges only as a dream figure.
